SIKA Diesel engine remote reading dial thermometers are the optimum solution for temperature measurement of liquids and gases on large diesel engines, e.g. for ship propulsion or in the diesel power generator sector. Depending on the display range, they are suitable for measuring exhaust gas, cooling water, lubricating oil or charge air temperatures. They have a long service life and do not require external power supply.
Type 311, 321 and 331 dial thermometers are capillary line thermometers consisting of a cramped-on ring case, capillary line and immersion tube. Casing, capillary line as well as immersion tube and connection are made of stainless steel. All devices comply with EN 13190 and meet class 1.
The devices are available in nominal sizes 80 and 100 mm. The cramped casings are permanently sealed (IP65) and are filled with silicone oil as standard to protect against vibrations.
The display of the device is optionally supplied with a wall bracket, front/rear mounting flange or clamping bracket mounting and can thus be easily read. The capillary line is led to the actual measuring point and connects the expansion vessel and the display device. The capillary line of these versions is protected against mechanical damage by a stainless steel spiral protection as standard.
The common display ranges are 0...100 °C, 0...120 °C, 0...160 °C, 0...200 °C and 50...650 °C. Diesel engine remote reading dial thermometer are equipped with smooth immersion tube and movable compression fitting with male thread G 1/2 or G 3/4. The standard immersion tube diameter is 12 mm (13 mm as an option without extra charge). The immersion tube in sheathed sensor design is optimised for heavy-duty use. On request, we can supply matching solid protection tubes for the thermometers.
