Anniversary launch with a clear regional focus
The New Year reception marked the official start of SIKA’s anniversary year. In 2026, the company celebrates its 125th anniversary. To begin this milestone year, SIKA deliberately opened its doors and invited citizens from Kaufungen and the surrounding region onto its premises.
Around 500 guests accepted the invitation. Beyond meeting and conversation, the event placed strong emphasis on SIKA’s connection to its local community. The Kaufungen Fire Brigade was present with a fire engine and an interactive programme – a particular highlight for younger visitors.
“The majority of the donation amount is thanks to the visitors of our New Year reception,” said Managing Director Sebastian Siebert during the handover. “The fact that so many people joined us and took part underlines how firmly rooted our company is in Kaufungen.”
An investment in community and future generations
District Fire Chief Brian Edokpolor accepted the donation with gratitude. The funds will primarily support activities of the Children’s and Youth Fire Brigade, including a planned youth excursion later this year.
For SIKA, supporting local initiatives is part of its corporate responsibility. As one of the largest employers in Kaufungen, the company sees itself not only as an economic stakeholder but also as an active member of the community. The New Year reception was the first of several planned initiatives throughout the anniversary year. Further activities and community engagements will follow in the months ahead.
