AI Meets Apprenticeship: SIKA Trainees Explore the Future of Work and Learning

How does artificial intelligence change our work – and what does it mean for each individual profession? Our trainees and dual students explored exactly that in the workshop “AI in Corporate Practice.”

Led by Björn Thullner from Embrand GmbH, Kassel, the participants received a hands-on introduction to artificial intelligence. Whether industrial mechanics, industrial clerks focusing on accounting, logistics specialists, or business administration students – the content was tailored to their specific fields.

Through interactive exercises and tools such as ChatGPT, they discovered how AI can support learning, explaining, planning, and presenting – and where human skills remain essential. It quickly became clear: the future holds new opportunities, but also new responsibilities.

The workshop encouraged curiosity, initiative, and forward-thinking – and showed how vital digital competence already is in every profession today.

A fascinating first step that will continue in 2026 with an advanced follow-up session.
