The cost-effectiveness of the extremely compact magnetic-inductive flow sensor VMI from SIKA means that this field-proven process technology method can now also be applied for mechanical engineering measuring procedures. The VMI functions according to the induction principle.
If an electrically conductive medium flows through the measuring tube and, therefore, at right angles to the magnetic field, a voltage will be induced in the medium. This means, the flow velocity-dependent voltage signal provides a flow-proportional frequency signal as the output signal. The measuring range of the quick-response sensor is 2…40 l/min, the process connection occurs via an external thread G½.
