General information on SIKA thermometers

Product category: General information on SIKA thermometers

The "SIKA" thermometer is a development of SIKA. Originally, this thermometer was developed in the 1930s by Mr Hans Siebert, patented in 1939 and subsequently included in DIN standards. SIKA industrial straight stem liquid-in-glass thermometers are defined in the standards DIN 16181 to 16191. The requirements and tests are defined in DIN 16195. SIKA thermometers have been a proven standard in the industry for many years.

Compared to other thermometers such as dial thermometers or digital thermometers, SIKA thermometers offer clear advantages:

  • no moving parts
  • virtually no material fatigue or ageing
  • no electrical power required
  • high mechanical stability
  • highly accurate
  • extraordinarily long service life

SIKA thermometers are often used for decades and are highly reliable. In other words, as long as the glass casing of a SIKA thermometer is not mechanically damaged, it will always be highly accurate. SIKA thermometers therefore offer a price-performance ratio that is second to none.
